Copies of Suffolk County court records cost $0.65 per page with a $1.50 minimum. Certified copies add $5.00 per document. The clerk accepts various payment methods. Under Judiciary Law Section 255, the clerk must maintain these records in good order and allow public inspection. Sealed records and confidential matrimonial files are the main exceptions.

Suffolk County District Court
The Suffolk County District Court is a key part of the court system here. District Court records are separate from County Clerk records. If your case was in District Court, you contact that court directly for records. Cases that move up to County Court or Supreme Court will have their records transferred accordingly. Under CPL Section 160.50, criminal cases ending in the defendant's favor are sealed automatically. Dismissals, acquittals, and certain declined prosecutions all trigger sealing. Once sealed, those records are gone from public view.
